Our Story: From a Coffee Table toBrooklyn Buildz

In 2020, like so many other families in NYC, my world became much smaller. During those quiet months of the lockdown, looking for a way to connect and stay creative, my son and I picked up a simple model kit and a few bottles of paint.

What started as a way to pass the time quickly turned into a "masterpiece" moment. We discovered that in the process of clipping, sanding, and painting, the outside world fell away. We weren't just building a robot; we were building patience, focus, and a shared bond.

Six years later, that hobby has evolved from a personal passion into a professional studio. We’ve spent years perfecting custom kits and complex dioramas for collectors, but our true calling became clear: passing this "long-lost" craft to the next generation.

Today, Brooklyn Buildz exists to give kids and teens a break from the digital world. We teach the artistry of scale modeling to help them find the same confidence and joy that we found at our coffee table years ago.
