Brooklyn Buildz: Participation Waiver & Media Release

1. Assumption of Risk, Liability Waiver, & Indemnification: I understand that Brooklyn Buildz provides instruction in scale modeling, which involves the use of specialized tools, including hobby nippers, sanding files, hobby knives, and various paints/solvents. I acknowledge that while Brooklyn Buildz prioritizes safety, provides professional supervision, and utilizes safety equipment, these activities carry inherent risks of minor cuts, abrasions, or exposure to hobby chemicals.

I agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Brooklyn Buildz, its instructors, and its owners from any liability, claims, or demands for personal injury or property damage arising from my child’s participation in the program, including those arising from the ordinary negligence of Brooklyn Buildz.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brooklyn Buildz from any claims, demands, or legal actions brought by, or on behalf of, my child.

2. Safety Agreement & Personal Property: I certify that my child is capable of following safety instructions. I understand that if my child behaves in a way that endangers themselves or others, they may be removed from the class without a refund. Furthermore, I understand that Brooklyn Buildz is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, including cell phones or personal model kits brought into the studio.

3. Medical Emergencies & Allergies: In the event of an emergency, I hereby permit Brooklyn Buildz to seek medical treatment for my child if I cannot be reached immediately. I confirm that I will notify the instructor in writing of any severe allergies or medical conditions before the start of the session.

4. Media & Social Media Release: At Brooklyn Buildz, we love celebrating our students' progress! We frequently take photos and videos during class to document the building process and showcase finished "masterpieces."

Unless I explicitly opt out in writing before the session, I hereby grant Brooklyn Buildz permission to use my child’s image, likeness, and photos of their artwork in marketing materials, social media, and on the company website. I understand that these images are used solely for the purpose of promoting the STEAM program and celebrating student achievement.

5. Governing Law & Severability This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York. If any provision of this waiver is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

By completing the checkout process and checking the required agreement box, the purchaser agrees to all terms outlined in this waiver.
